Firstly Burning of the Barrel 2021 will be taking place as planned!

With that said, we need to be proactive in protecting our customers, team and community. Based on information received from the NSW State Government, if you live or work in one of the LGA’s listed, you will not be permitted to attend the 2021 Burning of the Barrel.

If you are impacted by the “Do Not Travel” restrictions it’s not all doom and gloom, we have good news. We can reimburse your ticket value with some of our wonderful Glandore Wines. Lets be honest, we know you are going to need it!

We have attached an order form for you to complete and send back to us so we can get your ” Glandore care package on the way.” However, you must provide us with relevant information about how the “Do Not Travel” restrictions prevents you from travelling such as where you live or where you work. Simply deciding not to attend is not an adequate reason to be reimbursed.


If you are not impacted, the great news is we are currently still proceeding with the event. The even better news is we now have a few extra TICKETS AVAILABLE. So if you have some friends who missed out. You can pickup some additional tickets here.

However, we will be conducting temperature checks, mandatory check-in and be enforcing social distancing. Our COVID Safe Plan has been lodged and approved by NSW Health and we will be doing everything we can to run a COVID Safe event.

Glandore’s Burning of the Barrel!

This is not an understatement. In its most recent 2019 event, Burning of the Barrel was named in the worldwide list of “Top 50 Wine Experiences” by Gourmet Wine Magazine. 

After 2020 extinguished our flame, the spark has been reignited and we’re ready to roll out the barrels for the biggest, and hottest event yet!

Cellarhands Members and their guests will be given the first opportunity to join us. Any remaining tickets will be made available to the general public at the beginning of May.

Join our Chief Winemaker Duane Roy for a sumptuous Pre-Ignition lunch on the deck of our Cellar Door overlooking the Vineyards.

Duane has scoured the cellar and selected some fantastic wines to pair with our Firestarter Feast making these an occasion you do not want to miss.

The Firestarter ticket includes all the Burning activities plus everything below.

The friendly team at Luckys will be running return bus transfers from the following loactions.

Pokolbin $25pp return – with the following pickup/drop off points:
Crowne plaza, Potters , Leisure Inn, Harrigan’s, The Vintage, Cypress Lakes, Spicers Guest House, H Boutique and Kirkton Park 

Hunter Valley $35pp return – set pick up locations to be designated shorlty but will include:
Cessnock Area, Broke Area and Singleton Area – $35pp

Newcastle $50pp return – with the following pickup/drop off points:
Newcastle Interchange, McDonald Jones stadium and Wallsend McDonald’s.
